When you think beads, you think jewelry, don’t you? I do! But if you expand your mind a little and spark those creative thinking neurons in your brain, there’s a ton more stuff you can create with beads, especially because there are so many different kinds of beads out there! Let’s discover…

1. Christmas Ornaments

You could get fancy and really get intense about sort of stringing together some beads so that it wraps around a typical sphere-shape Christmas ornament but that’s very time consuming and can be difficult. Instead, I’d glue beads down to a solid structure, like craft sticks, or put the beads inside something, like a sand art bottle.

2. Key-Chains

Beaded key-chains are cool for kids backpacks but even as an adult, I like to have something that sticks out that identifies my set of keys. A simple strand of strung beads or a woven string around beads is a great way to do this. It’s fun, easy, and individualistic!

3. Tinsel

This is probably the easiest thing you can do and you can really beautify your Christmas tree by stringing together some silver or gold beads. And that’s literally all you have to do. When Christmas comes around, just drape these suckers over your Christmas tree.

4. Magnets

6. Jewelry

Yes, I know. In the beginning of this article, I told you to expand your mind and basically think of other ways you can use beads to get crafty so why is jewelry on the list? Because I still don’t want you to forget about it and I have some fun inspiring ideas!

Make a friendship bracelet with alphabet beads. Try out a Bohemian look with Econocrafts’ old world beads. Make a Halloween themed necklace or bracelet with skull beads.

7. Beaded Animals

If you’re a Pinterest fanatic like me and follow or have pinned a bunch of craft ideas, then you may have come across pictures or tutorials on these cool little beaded animals. I’ve personally never done them but they seem fun and easy to do, especially for your kids and they can make great gifts for little ones. You can also turn them into things like key-chains, magnets, and Christmas ornaments! That’s what I like to call the Craft Double Dip.
