5 Crafts to Do with 5 Supplies or Less by EconoCrafts

Ever in the crunch to find something fast and fun to entertain you little ones before you rip out all your hair? If you’ve just leaped out of your chair and shouted, “YES!”, then you’re in luck.

I have five crafts that you can whip up in a jiffy, meaning they require just a few craft supplies and hardly any preparation. Hang in there mama’s.

1.Paint a Picture

Most people would probably put down newspaper to protect the surface they’re painting on but in order to keep this craft under five supplies, I’ve listed paper towel as a replacement for the newspaper and also to dry your paintbrush off.

Supplies Needed:

2. Draw & Color a Picture

This craft requires a measly two supplies! Heck yea! You can even have multiple coloring tools and STILL be under five supplies!

Supplies Needed:

3. Create Pottery

Creating pottery is so much fun and only requires four supplies. One includes the oven to harden the clay, which, come on, not really your typical supply that you’re going to gather and put on the table. You know what I’m saying?

Supplies Needed:

4. Origami

One supply! Can you believe it?! Now, if you’re not familiar with any origami patterns, you’ll probably want to find one online and print it out or buy a beginner’s origami book. If you want to count these as a supplies, fine. BUT, I’m still under five supplies. Your kids will really find origami cool – I mean it’s sort of like magic.

Supplies Needed:

5. Make Jewelry

Nu-uh. Not just for your little princesses. Haven’t you heard of “bro-bracelets”? It flies up to a certain age but my little man also rocks a cool leather beaded bracelet.

I don’t list any clasps because for one, I’m trying to make the supply list as short as possible and adding a clasp to jewelry can be complicated for little kids. So, it’s best to just tie it at the end, knot the two ends and add a safety pin, or, better yet, add a slipknot.

Supplies Needed:

So, no more excuses that you don’t have any craft supplies for your children to enjoy art and crafts time. Because I know you at least have paper in the house.
