Coloring can be very relaxing and fun. But, sometimes the colors dull and very often they break.  Thankfully, Econocrafts has got you covered. 

Crayon Hack #1 – Reviving Your Crayons 

Crayons, for the most part, are very durable and can last a very long time. However, when storing crayons, one may notice it getting dull. This doesn’t mean the entire crayon isn’t good anymore. There’s an easy hack you can do to revive your crayons.

You can easily bring your crayon back to life by heating it up slowly using a hairdryer. To ensure that you don’t make a mess try this hack out by placing some paper underneath the area in which you’ll be heating up the crayons. Also, to avoid staining your hands put some plastic gloves on.

How To 

Lay your crayons on the paper or mat that you’ve put your crayons on. With the hair dryer slowly melt the crayons enough until you see a shiny coating on them. Then, wait 20 minutes until your crayon is fully dried. Once it has dried, test the color out.

Crayon Hack #2 -Fixing Broken Crayons 

While crayons are very durable, when around younger children you may find yourself having to constantly get new ones because they’re broken. A hack you might want to consider trying is gathering all your broken crayons and grouping them into piles of similar colors. Get a silicone cube container and place the different groups of colors into each hole. Melt them in the microwave for 1 minute. Allow the crayons to fully dry. Once dried take out of the molding.
